Company History:

Mari Lou’s Fine Jewelry was opened in 1979 in South Holland, Illinois by Mari Lou McCann.  The original name was Mari Lou’s Gold Gallery.  In 1990 Mari Lou opened a second location in Orland Park, Illinois where it has remained for 18 years.  The South Holland location was eventually closed in 1992 and focus was given to the one location in Orland Park on 159th and La Grange.  In 2004 Mari Lou's Fine Jewelry expanded their business and moved next door to a larger, newly designed space, improving their image with new showcases and new brands of jewelry and watches.

Mari Lou’s daughter, Diana, began her career with the company in 1996 with a degree from Illinois State University.  Diana assists Mari Lou in all aspects of management and sales.  Mari Lou's son, Donald, graduated from Gem City College in 1993 and worked for the company for 14 years.  In 2007 his career prospered and dreams came true when he opened his own jewelry and watch store in Breckenridge, Colorado named Matheu's Fine Watches and Jewelry.  Together this family has seen phenomenal growth in the last 29 years due to their dedication, hard work, drive, and most of all their passion.  Mari Lou states that 80% of her new business each year is from referrals, which is a strong statement from her many satisfied customers.  Many of Mari Lou’s customers have been with her since she started, and have remained loyal to her because of her family’s honesty and integrity.  Jewelry can be purchased anywhere, but trust and confidence is paramount.

Mari Lou’s Fine Jewelry is a full service jewelry store with a jeweler and watch technician on premises.  Custom designing and restyling of your old jewelry has been their specialty over the years.  They carry the finest platinum, 14K and 18K jewelry with quality and value unparallel.
